Highs and Lows
What a week I've had! Here's a summary:
Highlights: Rolled over from my back to my front for the first time on Sunday. Took my first drink from a cup (a real glass one!) today. Switched from rice to barley cereal (no, not beer!) last week (it has formula mixed into it and is yummy - so much so that I hum while I eat it and swing my legs in my highchair). Playing a game with Daddy where we take turns blowing at each other (me with the "pbthh" sound) and then we laugh about it. Practicing rocking back and forth on my hands and knees - lots of fun (Mommy says I'll be crawling soon...and shudders!) Hanging out with Abby and this new baby named Caitlin while the mommies had tea on Friday. Greeting Daddy when he comes home from work (I'm all smiles and laughter - he's just so darn entertaining!) Jolly-jumping (as long as someone is in the room with me. We have my jolly jumper set up in front of the big picture window so I can look outside at all that white stuff, and watch the big snowplows push it away. Mommy says that someday I'll probably love big machines and want to drive them just like Daddy does.) My baths. Peeing through my diaper onto Mommy while she held me on her hip (she thought she felt something warm there and found out what when she put me down!) Peeing all over myself, including up onto my face, during a diaper change (I laughed, and then got to have another bath - yahoo!)
Lowlights: I'm teething again! Sure like those Tylenol drops, though (they taste like candy), as well as chewing on the cool toothbrushy thing that Grandma and Grandpa Newman gave me (I can hold it myself to chew on it, and especially have a fun time putting it down and then picking it back up over and over again). And I hate it when Mommy or Daddy leaves the room and let them know it by kicking up a fuss. (They need to be in my sight, especially on these days that I'm working on new teeth. Today, I didn't even want Daddy to leave the room when I was with Mommy and supposed to be nursing. Can you blame me? I hadn't seen him all day!)
